Being a member of Uttar Pradesh Raju Clean Ganga Committee, today I participated in the 15th meeting of the State Ganga Committee chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Kumar Singh. In the meeting, issues like Hindon, Kali, Gomti, Nun, Sasur Khaderi and Morwa were discussed in detail. I informed the Chief Secretary about four points for river rejuvenation.

1. This time during Van Mahotsav, maximum number of trees should be planted in the river valleys.

2. A model of river rejuvenation should be developed.

3. An atlas of rivers should be prepared on the basis of data from the British Gazetteer and the Irrigation Department.

4. In-situ wetlands should be implemented on other rivers as well.
