Raman has done various types of work while working in the field of water conservation. A census has been prepared by counting the natural water sources of Meerut district. More than 600 ponds have been revived or helped to revive them. About 250 models of rainwater conservation have been created or technical support has been provided to them. Raman has organized water seminars in hundreds of villages and water conservation workshops in schools to create awareness, this sequence is continuing. In policy work, Raman has made an important contribution in developing the format of the Ponds Development Authority draft in Uttar Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Ground Water Law. While doing this very important work of nature, Raman has studied and penned down the historical water sources of the Meerut district (Ramayana period, Mahabharata period, and Mughal period).

In this book, where the history of those historical ponds has been compiled, their photographs have also been published in this book. Raman also edited PARYAVARAN SANDESH, a mouthpiece giving information on environmental issues. A book, (JAL DIGDARSHIKA (Water Guide), has been prepared by Raman to start the work of pond conservation, rainwater conservation, and river rejuvenation at any place. Any water and river worker can start work through this book. Raman established the country's first Rural Rain Centre in village Poothi, Meerut with the active support and participation of the local society. It also has a small library with books, CDs, and video films on the water. This rural rain center also has a live model of rooftop rainwater harvesting.
